The situation
ENHYPEN, the new boy group from BELIFT LAB, a joint venture between CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment, is set to debut on November 30 with their mini-album BORDER: DAY ONE. The group, formed from the survival competition show 'I-LAND', has already gained a significant following on social media, with over 1 million followers on Instagram and TikTok, and over 3 million on Weverse. Their debut album has surpassed 300,000 preorders, with sales coming in from all over the world.

What the internet did with it

  • Netizens on Theqoo are generally excited about the debut, with some fans speculating about the meaning behind the group's name and the concept of their debut album, noting that the name 'ENHYPEN' represents the connection between the members and their fans, much like the hyphen punctuation that connects words.
  • The group's official fandom name, ENGENE, has also been a topic of discussion, with fans sharing their thoughts on the meaning behind the name, which symbolizes the fans that power the engine to drive and support ENHYPEN's growth, with 'GENE' referring to the shared DNA between the group and their fans.
  • — "I'm so hyped for their debut, I've been waiting for this moment since I-LAND," a fan commented, showing the enthusiasm and anticipation surrounding ENHYPEN's debut.

The open question
The question on everyone's mind is how ENHYPEN will perform on music shows and whether they will be able to live up to the hype surrounding their debut, with their first music show performance scheduled for after the release of their debut album, and fans eagerly waiting to see how they will showcase their talents and connect with their audience, particularly in terms of their *눈치 (nunchi, or social awareness) and ability to read the room.

I'm here for still calling it tweety

that logo is 70s af lol and 70s and tweed are associated, so I think "Tweed" is the closest pronounciation. There already was a group called Tweety and although they were pretty nugu names don't often get reused!

The Hangul is νŠœμ΄λ“œ, which would be pronounced kinda like Tyu-ee-duh, so tweed is probably closer than ‘tude
