After releasing [a chart-topping pre-comeback track with R&B singer DEAN entitled “Starlight,”](https://www.soompi.com/2016/06/24/watch-taeyeon-dean-others-starlight-new-music-video/) Taeyeon officially made her comeback on June 28 at midnight KST by dropping her new solo mini album “Why” and the music video for the title track of the same name. The music video features Taeyeon having fun in the sun, and is linked up with the video for “Starlight,” as it includes the scene where Taeyeon first meets DEAN, another “Miss Me” message, and the same necklace, as well as polaroids of the couple at the end. Watch it below! The mini album includes seven tracks that were inspired by many different genres, ranging from 80s pop to EDM. In addition to the track featuring DEAN, the song “Up & Down” is a special collaboration with Taeyeon’s fellow member Hyoyeon.
