TBH it felt like DSP did not know how to handle Dongpyo's career so this will be a great thing in the long run!!! Dongpyo is such a star and is absolute variety beast I hope he signs to a new label who is able to promote him to the upmost! also hoping for more music from him!!

The singer Son Dong Pyo is leaving his agency and becoming a free agent. According to a report, Son Dong Pyo’s exclusive contract with DSP Media will end next August. It is reported that after discussions as the contract expiration approached, both parties decided not to proceed with a renewal. Son Dong Pyo plans to look for a new agency after the end of the contract and discuss the direction of his future activities. He is expected to continue his activities not only in singing activities, but also in various fields such as entertainment. Full Translation by @KSTATION TV

Makes sense, the agency didn't really do much with him after his group disbanded I feel like. What was it, two singles or something like that? Hopefully he can find somewhere to put out more work if that's what he wants. As for DSP, once KARD officially disbands their roster will be entirely actors, indie soloists, and ballad/vocally focused artists (like Gavy NJ and Baby Blue) aside from Young Posse (and KARA, who seem more like an RBW act despite being signed to both according to most sources I'm looking at, they seem much more involved in recent promotions); it's starting to seem like RBW plans for their more strictly "Idol" acts to concentrate in RBW and WM and for DSP to be focused on other spheres of entertainment. I'm not necessarily opposed to that, I've been saying for a while now their 3 labels feel redundant, like they acquired them just to say they have them like the big companies do rather than giving them distinct identities. Then again, if they debut another group in a couple years time that'd really disprove the hypothesis.
