DearALICE James Announces Through Instagram He Has Left The Group

Forgot this group even existed. The planning for them is so lackluster. What a shame. It's for the best that he left. Wasting his time like that isn't worth it. I wish him the best of luck in his future. Is SM even still helping this group?? Or who is in charge?

sm doesn't really put efforts on any collaborations, I remember woollim's ceo said that sm didn't share their infrastructure with them that's why they stopped being sm subsidiary, the same thing probably happened with mystic story.

SM sold their shares in Mystic Story last year, I guess they didn't see the results they wanted from Mystic Story groups? But yeah, SM is very hands-off with their subsidiaries from what I've seen. The main benefit of being connected to SM for Mystic Story was the funding, which has sadly plummeted since SM sold their shares :(

I saw them at smtown and honestly they were placed after tvxq and the sm rookie class and the performance was lackluster. If they were given better songs, I feel like they couldve been larger.

Moon&Back Media are reportedly managing them. I think SM only helps them in producing songs and music videos, but most of their promotions are handled by them. Which unfortunately, were POORLY handled. They were supposed to be a different type of Western boy band but now their management is practically putting them up against bands like Absnt Mind and Simon Cowell's new band December 10 (who are debuting their first EP this Friday!) by sending them to small-scale shows and touring various schools. It seems like SM gave up on them and just left them to fend for themselves in the UK with limited resources. It's tough to say, but out of these three, Absnt Mind has had the most noise/least drama by far and are clean, interactive with their fans, and make pretty good tunes despite having less budget compared to the two. While DearAlice is practically getting stomped on by their own management, December 10 has had to deal with comments about the members dissing BTS and one of them being a misogynist while engaging in inappropriate acts leading to expulsion from school. Like Manon, the member is on a hiatus, but it's pretty much evident that they might have dropped him by now. Out of these three bands, Absnt Mind won in the long run for some reason despite being lesser-known than the other two 😭 (please stream their new single allestree lane!! honorable mentions include no strings, wardrobe and simpatico 😤)

i’m surprised there’s even a market + development for british boy bands, i’m british and haven’t heard of these groups
