ARTMS Kim Lip confirms the group's upcoming Album <Hyper-Ego> is a Full-Length Album

The situation
ARTMS has renewed their contract with Modhaus ahead of its expiration, a move described as an exceptional case. The group, formed by former LOONA members HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry, and HaSeul, signed with Modhaus in 2023 after winning lawsuits against their previous agency, Blockberry Creative. This renewal comes as ARTMS prepares for their upcoming single "BURN" and world tour "Lunar Theory".

What the internet did with it

  • Netizens on Theqoo seem unbothered by the news, with some commenting on the group's upcoming activities — "looking forward to the new single and tour, hope they get the support they deserve."
  • A fact that's been circulating is that ARTMS's contract renewal with Modhaus was facilitated by a "transparent settlement process", which might be a nod to the group's past issues with Blockberry Creative.
  • Kim Lip also confirmed that their upcoming album will be a full-length album, although no release date has been announced yet.

This may be a bit of a misnomer though and taken out of context, since they would usually call it 'studio album' iirc. I think what she was saying is that the title track is releasing earlier and then the full/complete album is in August...

I don't know if I've ever seen kpop companies use the term studio album. I see only full, mini, "special", or single.
