The situation
f(x) marked their 7th debut anniversary, prompting Amber to post a nostalgic screenshot on Instagram and a series of purple hearts on Twitter, referencing their fan club color. The group debuted on September 5, 2009, with "LA chA TA" and has since released several successful albums. Despite Sulli's departure, the remaining members have pursued solo careers.

What the internet did with it

  • Netizens on Theqoo were generally unbothered, with some commenting on the group's legacy and others discussing Amber's post, with one saying — "she really said what we were all thinking and left"
  • Amber's Instagram caption read, "Lucky 7! Always thankful to all the MeUs out there who’ve always had our backs. But on the real though… We getting old XD Never gunna stop the grind and always gunna work hard for all you guys!!!", showcasing her appreciation for fans and the group's determination to continue working hard.
  • The post also highlighted the group's *눈치 (nuhci, or awareness of social cues) in acknowledging their age and the passage of time, with Amber jokingly saying "we getting old".

Goblin is a truly brilliant album (also the album cover is one of my favourites, it's so pretty). The MV for Goblin is so beautiful, both in terms of visuals and the presentation of dissociative disorders. On the Moon is so dreamy and melancholy, very few songs make me feel the way it does, I really love it. I think her best song was Dorothy, though. It might be my favourite kpop song, the repetition is utilised so well and I love the DnB that comes in. Sulli's lyrics are so well written too, the song has such a poignant feel to it. Please listen to the ep if you haven't, it's only three songs but it's really incredible. Sulli was amazing and I miss her so much.

I agree, although on the short side, it's one of the few single albums I keep coming back to for the whole experience rather than just the title track. She really hit 3 for 3 on this one, and Dorothy is such a unique Kpop song.

it's such a good single album, i think think of another that even comes close.

I just want to recommend: Dear Jinri (2023) 'μ§„λ¦¬μ—κ²Œ' in case you haven't watched it yet and want to. It's hard, pretty hard to watch, but highly recommended imho. I just watched it this year, and I think it's a must for everyone. It's some kind of film-documentary, human, raw interview with her (2019), in a slow-paced careful conversation, and in a pretty cinematographic-artistic way. (I hope I explained myself well, cause it's hard to watch and explain, but yeah) ❤️
